I agree with RedAce. We need to get off the "lousy service" thread. So here's a new one.

As a former ITVN subscriber I am none too anxious to repeat my first mistake. So I think I will just watch and see what happens. For me the Setanta feed is everything. However, NexTV is offering it for $23 and the broadband subscription is $15 (with VOD). So I just don't see the value there.

Kaaveh, if an old dog might offer some advice--ITVN's 2 greatest transgressions were, "offering" what it couldn't actually deliver (like VOD and southern-hemi rugby) and lack of communication. They never seemed to get the concept that bad news is better than no news at all. Your subscribers will understand, believe me. People just want to feel connected--like someone is listening. If you can't deliver that, you might as well get out of the business right now---you won't make it.

Those of us familiar the whole IPTV thing are aware that it is an emerging technology. It isn't perfect. It isn't cable. We can accept the glitches if we know what is going on and feel that there is actually someone on the other end paying attention.

Just NexTv is Right they are the only real legit company we can work with and belive in.

Let me share something with all of you,, I was also becoming very frustrated with Nextv and i was Doing ALOT of research trying to find out what other companys were out there also offering Russian TV.  As i searched i found numerous other Russian packages but they all offered the same package of channels  this told me something they were all getting it from the same place.  As i tried many many many times to get in contact with them and find out where or how they were getting there feed no one could answer me when or if they ever replyed.  another thing is just try to find out who ownes or runs them,, No answers,, where are there offices,, agian responses. 

I have had numerous people in Toronto area that i know tell me they went to GetNextv offices and were very impressed,,even someone who works for one of there competitors told me they were VERY impressed with there operations at GetNextv. 

So that made me realize this is a REAL company and i need to stick with them,. and now i am sooo glad i did,, they have been writing me back on all my emails and i have called and talk with them and they have been great!!  I found out that basically that they were so so busy working on building there IPTV platform from nuts to bolts that they let other things slip, But now they are getting ready to come out with new stuff and a new site and great customer Service,, and i am really looking forward to the future because i do belive we are at the very begining stages of a new world of TV  IPTV and i do belive that GetNextv is the one and only real IPTV provider that we can trust and belive in.

This is such an immature response. ShifTV also had an office, where are they now? You can still visit their office, you know? All other companies have offices as well. There is a company in Toronto, RTNC.ca who offer a much better service than NexTV, in US there are few. You can't compare until you actually try.

TVGuy are you kidding or what?? GetNextv does not just have offices they have production studio's and are working on Buiding there own IPTV platform. Company's like RNTC are just a hole in the wall office,, i have tryed to find out how they get there signal,, no answers  who ownes them ,, no answers  Getnexttv is real and legit they have answered all my questions and my friends have visited there studio's and been very impressed.   take a look http://www.ethnicchannels.com/ecg_files/ECG_PROMO_GALA.wmv

I am still waiting for answers to my questions that I posted in the other thread AND response to my emails that I sent this Shoman guy.  Looks like another scam job to me, 2 weeks have come and gone and surprise surprise the NEXTV website looks like it did before.  So much for this 'I am personally supervising this now' crap, I am not impressed.  Why does he state in his responses that if we have any questions to contact him, why can't he answer our questions on here??

Well all i can do is speak for my own situation and well for me all my email's have been promtly answerd All my issues were address and now picture quality i have found has improved.

So what can i say i am happy with the service and do frimly belive in IPTV as the future of tv.

Can anyone from NextTV explain the costing/service differences between the US and Canadian packages?  Why is prosieben 7 $9.95 more for the US package?

The reason ProsiebenSat is differently priced for the USA is because Pro7 is available via Dishnetwork in the USA... The channels has what is called an MFN clause in their agreement with Dish... Which prohibits the channel to be sold less then 9.99 in the USA. We did everything in our power to include Pro7 in a bulk package to users as in Canada. Unfortunelty, we had no choice but to provide it as a stand alone service for and additional 9.99 to users...
